How to Do a Cyclist Squat

Why Cyclist Squats Target the Quads

Heel elevation reduces ankle restrictions and lets the knees travel far forward, while the narrow stance reduces how much you can shift the movement toward the hips. Together, those factors create a squat with very high knee-flexion demand.

Cyclist Squat Stance Width

The feet are usually much closer together than in a standard squat.

  • They do not need to be literally touching.

How High Should the Heel Wedge Be?
