How to Do a Single-Leg Leg Press
Sit in the leg press with your back and head supported by the pad and learn where the safety catches are before loading heavily.
Place one foot on the platform in a position that lets the knee track naturally with the toes.
Remove or lightly support the non-working leg according to the machine design while keeping the pelvis square against the seat.
Brace the trunk and lower the sled slowly by bending the working knee and hip.
Use as much range of motion as you can while keeping the heel down, the knee controlled, and the hips and lower back stable against the pad.
Press the platform away through the working foot and extend the leg without forcefully locking the knee.
Complete all repetitions on one side, then switch legs and match the planned work.

The single-leg leg press is a unilateral machine exercise in which one leg presses the sled or platform at a time. Single-Leg Leg Press Foot Placement
There is no one-size-fits-all foot position. Start near the middle of the platform at a height that lets the heel stay down and the knee track comfortably, then adjust based on the machine and your anatomy.
How Deep Should You Single-Leg Press?
