How to Do Cable Fly
Set both pulleys roughly around chest-to-shoulder height for the standard Cable Fly, and attach single handles.
Take one handle in each hand, step forward until the cables have tension, and adopt a balanced or staggered stance.
Set your arms with a comfortable hand orientation and a soft elbow bend, keeping that angle reasonably consistent throughout the set.
Brace your trunk and maintain a stable torso, avoiding excessive body movement or letting the cable stack pull you backward.
Allow your arms to open outward in a controlled arc, stopping at the deepest position where you maintain shoulder control and torso stability.
Bring your upper arms toward each other across your chest, initiating the movement from the shoulders rather than pressing with your arms.
Bring the handles together near your body's midline without crashing them, then reverse the path smoothly under control.
