How to Do the Bar Muscle-Up With Proper Form

Hang from a secure horizontal pull-up bar with a grip slightly wider than shoulder width.

Brace the trunk and begin a powerful pull, using a controlled kip only if practicing the kipping variation.

Pull higher than a normal pull-up so the bar approaches the lower chest or upper abdomen.
